The Pipeline They Owned Together
In 1968 Tehran and Jerusalem registered the Eilat–Ashkelon Pipeline Company as a 50–50 joint venture. Iranian crude flowed across Israeli territory to Europe — Iran was not a customer but a co-owner, with a joint arbitration clause naming judges from both nations' supreme courts. Iran acted with full agency: a builder and partner, not a recipient of aid.
